Are You Up To Date?

Today the I-Netco website has been updated to the very latest version of WordPress, that is version 3.3.

It is best practice to keep your WordPress website and plugins updated to the latest version otherwise you run a number of potential risk issues. The updating process is fairly straightforward but there are a number of important precautions to take before hand. First of all you need to have a back up version of your website database. Secondly, it makes sense to download a back up of your website files to your local hard drive via FTP.

All of the steps above are about saving you from future grief and you should have a conversation with your web design company regarding their policy on updating and backing up your website. Are they taking responsibility or are they conveniently (for them!) sweeping the issue under the carpet?
